ABOUT PATRICK LINGUERRI

ANGULAR FRONTEND ENGINEER

My passion lies in architecting large-scale Angular applications, mastering the complexities of Micro Frontend (MFE) systems. Success, to me, is finding the sweet spot where quality meets timeline. Beyond technical design, I actively mentor juniors and establish standards and shared utility methods that serve as the foundational roadmap. This ensures that every team member, regardless of their experience level, is empowered to develop features smoothly and independently.

WHAT I DO AT WORK

Architecture Design

I focus on the high-level architecture of Angular applications, translating business goals into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical blueprints. This includes structuring Micro Frontend (MFE) ecosystems, defining cross-module communication strategies, and ensuring the design choices support both long-term stability and rapid feature development.

Code Reviews

My reviews extend beyond simple bug detection to focus on architectural integrity, adherence to MFE standards, and future maintainability. I ensure that all new code is readable, performant, and aligns with established utility methods. The goal is to enforce high quality while acting as a mentorship opportunity, scaling expertise across the entire team.

Mentoring

My approach to team leadership focuses on active mentorship, guiding both junior and mid-level developers. I emphasize practical application of MFE architecture and best practices, providing timely feedback that accelerates growth. The ultimate goal is to scale team knowledge and foster independence, allowing every engineer to contribute confidently and up to standard.

WHAT I ACHIEVED SO FAR

Pioneered Angular application architecture by independently selecting tools and methodologies. Took full ownership of the frontend roadmap, ensuring all decisions maximized scalability, maintainability, and long-term best practices.
Executed the migration of 20+ Micro Frontend (MFE) Angular applications from v11 to v18. This massive upgrade significantly boosted performance, reduced vulnerabilities, and established a foundation for future security and stability.
Modernized the MFE architecture by migrating from single-spa 9.5 to Angular Module Federation. This allowed us to centralize API interceptors, unify global styling, eliminate duplicate bundles, and streamline development across all teams
Mentored and trained all new hires, providing hands-on expertise in advanced Angular patterns and the product lifecycle. This effort accelerated onboarding and directly improved overall team efficiency and output quality.
Guaranteed WCAG compliance across all applications by designing and integrating custom directives specifically to resolve accessibility gaps in PrimeNG components, enhancing the user experience for all users.
Streamlined collaboration with backend developers and architects to accelerate delivery timelines. Leveraged CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins) daily to establish efficient, automated deployment pipelines.
